I'm Chris, born in 1984 and raised in Florina, Northwest Greece.
As an experienced graphic designer and freelancer, I specialize in creating tailored design solutions that enhance brands, improve company visibility, and strengthen social media presence. 1984-1999 / Early Age
I have always had a deep appreciation for art, with a particular fondness for drawing, watercolor painting, and the art of sketching faces using soft pencils.
2000-2003 / Introduction to Graphic Design
Introduced to the concept of graphic design at 17, I completed my studies in the field of Applied Arts at the 1st Technical Vocational School (TEE) of Nea Ionia, Athens. I was provided the foundational skills and knowledge essential for my continued growth in the discipline.
2003-2007 / Industrial Design Engineering
I studied I.D.E. at the Technical Professional Institution (TEI) of Western Macedonia, Greece. I was introduced to 3D design engineering, covering product conception to finalization. My studies encompassed CAD geometry, material selection, production organization, CNC digital guidance, strength analysis & market research.
2009-2023 / Lead Graphic Designer
Spenting over a decade working at a family-owned advertising company in Northwestern Greece, my role encompassed the full spectrum of the advertising process: from conceptualization and brand identity design to the production and printing on various materials such as vinyl, canvas, linoleum, and embroidery. Additionally, I was actively involved in installing signage, 3D illuminated letters, and vinyl applications on storefronts, vehicles and more. Simultaneously, I operated a successful eBay store, offering a wide range of designs and printed products related to retro video game consoles.
2020 / Digital Illustration for Children's Stories
Experimentally worked on children's book illustrations and later attended courses in "Digital Illustration for Children's Stories", instructed by Teresa Martinez (Mtz), Illustrator of Children's and Young Adult Publications (Illusttradora de Publicaciones Infantiles y Juveniles).
2023-Today / Graphic Designer at a Large-Scale Company
After relocating to Rhodes Island, Greece for two years and then back in Orestiada, I currently work as a Graphic Designer at a leading advertising company. This role has enhanced my skills in meeting stringent deadlines, collaborating seemlessly within large teams, and mastering new materials and printing techniques. Additionally, I manage freelance projects for clients across Europe and the U.S. and remain open to further professional collaborations at any time.
